I purchased an expensive, $1244.65, side-by-side General Electric refrigerator from Appliances Connection in September 2010. The price was good and included the shipping cost, and I was not required to pay sales taxes, which was also a benefit.

When the refrigerator arrived, I found a long scratch, about nine inches in length, on one of the refrigerator’s front doors. I immediately notified Appliances Connection customer service representative and explained the situation. I was told to photograph the damage and submit the photographs to Appliances Connection via email, which I accomplished within a few days".

Here’s where the situation begins to deteriorate/. The customer service repeatedly emailed the following message to me on a weekly basis: “Just to let you know that we have not forgotten about your pending ticket?. Once we have more information, we will update the ticket and you will be notified immediately..”

Well I stopped receiving this message on February 01, 2011 and have not heard from any representative from Appliances Connection since|. The door of my refrigerator is still scratched and there appears to be no pending resolution/. My intention is to contact the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint/.

I guess Appliances Connection provides cheaper prices for products, but I have learned you get what you pay for and I will never purchase any products from Appliances Connection in the future and will attempt to persuade anyone and everyone to avoid this company like the plague?. If you do decide to purchase an item from Appliances Connection, pray it is not defective or damage, because I fear you will have a difficult time receiving satisfactory customer service. 1289d92

It sounds to me like you have a completely legitimate complaint and I am sorry this has happened to you. But just you may remember this next time when a smaller company has a really low price or includes extra features like shipping and no sales tax in this case. The company is most likely already struggling and has made cuts elsewhere and most companies begin cut backs in customer service.
